Welcome to Sue's Glass!
I'm delighted to welcome you to my Glass Studio. I've really enjoyed creating the pieces that you'll find displayed here, and I hope that you enjoy your visit.
You can learn more about me, view my latest work, and purchase items online if you wish. There's some information about me and the type of glass art in which I specialise, and contact details if you have any questions.
I've been working with glass since 2008, and I love the infinite possibilities that it offers. I'm still learning and producing new and different work, and you're welcome to join me on my journey as I experiment and create new things. Whether you're a seasoned glass artist, completely new to this world or just love the way glass art can light up your home, you're very welcome.
Enjoy!

Santa Snowglobe

Santa Snowglobe
Glass is a great medium to use for Christmas decorations, with its vibrant colours and versatility. I especially like these Snowglobes designed to hang on your Christmas tree, or anywhere that you want to add some festive spirit.
They are fun to make too, using a technique called 'Freeze 'n Fuse.' I build up each character using powdered glass in a cake mould, and it's intricate and careful work to produce the details you see in the finished item. A small amount of water is added, then the mould is put in my freezer. When it's solid I place it into a hot kiln and heat it rapidly, fusing the glass together into a solid piece. I then build up the design on a clear circle of glass and fire it again to produce the lovely decoration you see here.
If you like my Snowglobe you can buy them on my website in a range of designs.
Happy Christmas!
